Access Skills provides comprehensive support to individuals undertaking any of their care sector training programmes. Learners undertaking Access Skills health and social care courses regularly feedback to us their views on their experience and the resources we provide. Learners often find sharing experiences to be a positive part of their course, and something Access Skills encourages.
Debby D recently completed her fully funded Level 5 diploma in Health and Social care with Access Skills.
Access Skills Level 5 Diploma in Health and Social Care – Workplace Observation of Learner
This is what she said:
“I recently had my workplace observation. I used the level 5 health and social care brief as a tick sheet, making sure I was prepared. I collected documents as identified in the Level 5 activity brief, that I had written or produced, to show my assessor. I arranged for one member of staff to join us on the Teams meeting, to complete their supervision and discuss care sector training. I enjoyed my workplace observation. There was one section I thought I would find difficult to cover but I didn’t cancel my observation. I called Access Skills and was given advice on how to show my assessor the required evidence. In the end, my observation was great fun and I gained so much from it.”
“My tip is to read the level 5 activity brief, not to be worried or scared about your workplace observation, but to plan well, ask for advice, go ahead and not cancel.”
