Although I have been a manager for some time there are a lot of things that I did not know and only came to know through this course. Conducting research and writing the assignments which needed reflection or giving an example from my own workplace, I realised that there were a lot of changes that I had to make. Everything was useful. I have no suggestions as someone that went to university, college, high school and primary school this is honestly the best support I have received to help me achieve. I am still working as a manager, but this course has given me the confidence to continue my venture of opening my own supported living company to support individuals with learning disabilities and poor mental health. The assignments not only helped with my current employment but also my future goals. Access skills have honestly been the best team of people I have come across in terms of educational support. There were many times I felt that I was not going to get through the course or looked down on myself as if It were something, I could ever achieve but at every moment they were there to support me. No matter what circumstances I was going through they were there to support me, and I found this to be the most rewarding course I have ever done as it made me come out of it knowing I really can do anything I focus on.

Access Skills as an organisation have become the benchmark for us, the way you communicate, your emails, webinars, social media presence is excellent. We have used your example to develop our own communication. The team at Access Skills are supportive, with an understanding of the needs of learners in the care sector, especially during the Pandemic. We have been supported, offered training using different methods, such as zoom. We have been given extensions with support when the pressures from the Pandemic have become to high. The feedback given to us on every part of the course is outstanding, again encouraging us to progress.The resources for the learners give them full support. We are given guides, webinars and regular updates. The materials supplied have enabled all of us to develop. We also benefit from peer support on various social media channels. Three of us have been promoted due to this course and our increased knowledge. We are so impressed with Access Skills we are about to enrol three more learners.

I have just enrolled on a Level 5 Leadership course. I am yet to actually start the course but Louise has made the process very easy. If I had any queries she got back to me quickly via email or phone and was very patient with me.
If the support moving forward is anything like the enrolment process then I will be very happy.

I have been in contact with Asim Hussain for a few months now. I had a lot of queries around which course and training would be best for my career progression and Asim has very patiently taken the time to help me choose the right one. I am now enrolled in the NVQ 3 and look forward to begin my learning. I highly recommend anyone planning on taking up courses with Access Skills to go for it as they are very professional and guide you in the right manner.

Outstanding Support and Guidance — Highly Recommend Access Skills Ltd!

I recently completed my Level 5 Apprenticeship in Leadership and Management in Adult Care with Access Skills Ltd, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the experience. From the very beginning, their support was exceptional.

What stood out to me was the initial assessment — I originally planned to enroll for the Level 3 program, but after a thorough review of my background and qualifications, Access Skills recommended I go straight to Level 5. This recognition of my potential gave me a great sense of confidence and motivation.

Though I wasn’t thrilled about having to take the English and Mathematics proficiency tests, the encouragement and support I received made all the difference. Deborah Wyber was fantastic in helping me prepare for the Mathematics test, and thanks to her guidance, I passed on my first attempt. Sarb Relihan supported me with English lessons, and beyond that, she shared invaluable advice on work-life balance — guidance that helped me push through a challenging period in my life.

A special mention goes to Karen Everitt, whose support was truly exceptional. She closely monitored my progress, consistently checked in with me, and helped me develop strategies to balance work, family, and studies. At one point, when I was struggling to keep up, Karen arranged back-to-back catch-up sessions and set realistic deadlines, keeping me focused and on track. Without her timely intervention, I doubt I would have completed the program as efficiently as I did.

Katherine Oglesby played a pivotal role in my journey. From the very start, she recognized my potential and went above and beyond to ensure I had the resources and support I needed. Every session with Katherine was eye-opening — she always had useful links, documents, and advice to share, helping me prepare thoroughly for each stage of the program. Her guidance leading up to my End-Point Assessment was invaluable, and I’m proud to say I passed on my first attempt.

Overall, Access Skills Ltd provided me with the knowledge, tools, and confidence to achieve my qualification — a significant step toward my goal of advancing in the care sector. Their team is professional, responsive, and genuinely invested in their learners’ success. The program, though initially daunting as I was new to care, became more manageable with the support sessions, webinars, tripartite meetings, workshops, and learner support systems.

I called to enquire about one particular course and to enroll one employee, but Asim Hussain took the time to understand my circumstances and provided me with helpful information that allowed me to enroll multiple employees. He followed up and was patient throughout the entire process.
